Added on Thursday 18th of June 2009 12:26 am EST

Photoshop CS4

Operating Systems:

Macintosh, Microsoft Windows

In the article “Composite multiple photos with the Auto-Align Layers command” in this issue of Inside Photoshop, we showed you how to use Photoshop’s Auto-Align Layers command. New to CS3, this feature allows you to combine multiple images into one fantastic shot. Adobe enhanced this feature in CS4 by adding a few more options to the Auto-align Layers dialog box, as shown in Figure A.

New in CS4

In CS3, the Auto-Align Layers dialog box offered options for four projections: Auto, Perspective, Cylindrical, and Reposition Only. CS4’s enhanced dialog box also includes Collage and Spherical.

So when would you use these two new features?
