Retrieve an embedded image from Illustrator (CS/CS2)

To retrieve an embedded image from an Illustrator document, first select it and then choose Edit > Copy to copy the image to the Clipboard. Next, launch Photoshop and create a new document. Photoshop automatically sizes the new document to the size of image stored in the Clipboard. Then, choose Edit > Paste to paste the copied image into the Photoshop document. When the Paste dialog box opens, choose how you want to paste the copy, and then click OK.
