Save time with Photoshop’s customizable workspaces (CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6)

If you spend a lot of time opening and closing panels while you work, chances are you’re not maximizing one of Photoshop’s timesaving resources: customizable workspaces. To access the workspace options, choose Window > Workspace, as shown in Figure A. While the pre-configured workspaces vary slightly by version, each Photoshop version has a workspace for highlighting what’s new in that particular version, along with some other pre-configured workspaces that Adobe set up to fit specialized fields, such as Painting or Photography.
