Have you ever tried combining the elements of your pictures? No? Then this photo-editing tutorial is just the right thing if you wanna create a larger than life effect — it’s so spectacular that, we bet, you’d not have witnessed it anywhere but your dreams.

Step 1

Take an image of a waterfall and open it in Photoshop. Please respect copyright laws.

Step 2

Take another image of a drop of water hitting a surface and open it in Photoshop. Please respect copyright laws.

Step 3

Select the second image by pressing “Ctrl+A” and copy (Ctrl+C) it.

Step 4

Switch over from water drop’s image to the waterfall’s image and paste (Ctrl+V) the copied image on it.

Step 5

Transform (Ctrl+T) the image and make it as shown in the screenshot.

Step 6

Select Eraser Tool with Mode = Brush, Soft Mechanical Brush: Size = 80px; and Opacity = 50%. Now, select Layer 1. Use Eraser Tool to erase a part of the water droplet image as shown in the screenshot.

Step 7

Change the Layer 1’s Blending Mode to Vivid Light.

Step 8

Press “Ctrl+B” and open the Color Balance window. Now, set the values of Color Balance as Midtones: +100, +13, -31.

Step 9

Go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast. Now, set the values of Brightness = +3 and Contrast = +72.

Step 10

Take an image of a girl jumping and open it in Photoshop. Please respect copyright laws. Use Pen Tool to create a path around the girl.

Step 11

Convert the path into a selection by pressing “Ctrl+Enter”. Copy the selection by pressing “Ctrl+C”.

Step 12

Switch over from the girl’s picture to the waterfall’s image and Paste (Ctrl+V) the copied picture of the girl on it.

Step 13

Select Eraser Tool with Mode = Brush, Soft Mechanical Brush: Size = 25px; and Opacity = 50%. Now, select Layer 2. Use Eraser Tool to erase the girl’s legs below the knees as shown in the screenshot.

Step 14

Duplicate Layer 2 in the girl’s image by pressing “Ctrl+J”.

Step 15

Select the duplicated layer and go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur.

Step 16

Set the values of Motion Blur as Angle = 00, Distance = 90 pixels.
