As a digital artist you’ve probably run into this dilemma at least once in your career: A client provides you with an image that is sub par, but wants you to do something remarkable with it.

Because you’re a Photoshop professional and know what Photoshop is capable of, you accept the image and boldly go where you’ve never gone before. You tweak curves, make intricate selections, reduce noise, fix blemishes, and the list goes on. When you’re done, you wonder why your image isn’t stellar.
