Make Photoshop append the proper file extension

The design team I work on recently gained the responsibility of preparing web images for our company’s website. One of the requirements is that the images’ filenames must be all lower case. Unfortunately, Photoshop capitalizes all of my filename extensions, such as .GIF, .jpg and .PNG.
