Preview individual channels using your keyboard (7/CS)

If you’d like to view an individual channel, but don’t want to deal with the hassle of opening the Channels palette, use the keyboard shortcuts shown in Table A. Not only will these shortcuts help you view your channels, but they can also help you check selections and layer masks that are stored as alpha channels. To get these to work, you’ll need to press the [command] key ([Ctrl] key in Windows) in combination with the keys shown in the table.
