Adjust JPEG and TIFF files in Camera Raw (CS4)

Added on Friday 23rd of April 2010 05:48 am EST

Application:

Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Bridge CS4

Operating Systems:

Macintosh, Microsoft Windows

Camera Raw is a fantastic tool for making image adjustments while still maintaining your original raw file. But for a long time, folks whose cameras didn’t create raw files were left behind. Not anymore! If you have CS4 you can open JPEG and TIFF files in Camera Raw.

To open JPEG and TIFF files in Camera Raw:

1. Launch Bridge.

2. Select an image thumbnail in the Content panel.

3. [ctrl]-click (right-click in Windows) on the thumbnail and select Open In Camera Raw from the resulting pop-up menu. Alternatively, you can select File > Open In Camera Raw or press [command]R ([Ctrl]R in Windows).
