Easily create a PDF version of your contact sheet

If you’ve taken the time to create a contact sheet, at the bare minimum you should print it out. But if you want to go one or two steps further, try creating a PDF of your contact sheets. Since Photoshop generates contact sheets in multiple files, this is a good way to group them all into one file, such as a PDF booklet. It will also enable you to print your sheets out duplex, if your printer supports it. Just be sure to back up the PDF; you don’t want to lose all the information you just generated.

To start, you need to generate contact sheets. The steps outlined below start off with the contact sheets still open in Photoshop. For more information on generating contact sheets, see the article “Get organized! Manage your digital images with contact sheets” in this issue of Inside Photoshop.

 

To save your Photoshop contact sheet as a PDF:

1.       Flatten your Photoshop Contact sheet file.

2.      Choose File > Save As.

3.      Name your file and choose Photoshop PDF from the Save As pop-up menu.

4.      Navigate to an appropriate destination and click Save.

5.      Leave the defaults in the PDF Options dialog box and click OK. For our purposes we just need to generate a general PDF for personal use.<...
