Use both Content-Aware Fill and Puppet Warp for ultimate control

In the August 2010 issue of Inside Photoshop, we explained how to use the new Content-Aware Fill command. Here’s how to use it to your benefit when isolating an image portion to use with the Puppet Warp command:

1.       Duplicate the image layer to preserve the original.

2.      Make a tight selection around the image portion you wish to isolate, as shown in Figure A.

3.      Press [command]J to move that selection to a new layer, as shown in Figure B
