Apply gradients to text in InDesign (2/CS/CS2)

When working with text in InDesign, you can apply a gradient directly to your copy and it will remain editable. You can also apply several gradients within a single text frame, as well. When you add a gradient in this way, the gradient endpoints are always attached to the text box. Because of this, the text displays whatever part of the gradient it happens to be over. This may change if you reflow your text. To apply a gradient to your text, first select it and then choose the Gradient tab. In the Gradient panel, select the colors and options that you want for the gradient. They will be applied to only the selected range of text, as shown in FIGURE A.
